TORONTO Workshop: Sunday, November 15, 2026 @ noon
We're bringing this experience to Toronto! Co-hosted with Dr. Rachel Schwartzman, ND, in her space.
This hands-on workshop will teach you everything you need to make nourishing, easily digestible sourdough from scratch in a small group setting with plenty of room for questions.
Take the intimidation out of sourdough and leave feeling confident that you know what matters (and what doesn’t) so you can make an incredible loaf with ease.
Not only will you learn the process, you’ll also understand what goes into making the most gut-friendly sourdough using high-quality flours and intentional techniques. We’ll talk about why “standard” sourdough still leaves you feeling bloated or inflamed, but the really good stuff sits just right.
What You’ll Learn
- Why sourdough is different and how fermentation makes it more digestible
- The complete step-by-step process for making your own delicious loaf
- How to take care of your starter
- Ways to use discard that are gut-healthy vs. not-so-much
- How to choose the best flour and what to look for
- Which tools you actually need—and what you can skip
- How to start with what you already have (even if that means no dutch oven, basket, lame…)

What Makes This Workshop Special
Obviously, we’ll learn to make the bread. And we’ll get to break bread (and butter—or olive oil—your choice) together. But there is a deeply healing component that comes with reconnecting with real food your body loves. This experience is designed to help remove anxiety and overwhelm when it comes to feeding yourself so you can feel safer in your body and your kitchen.
About Your Instructor, Jordana
I’m a holistic nutritionist, lifelong foodie, intuitive healer and spiritual guide. I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with food and body through understanding where our ingredients come from and how to work with them in a way that makes our bodies feel their best. This includes returning to simpler, older practices and moving away from the processing and industrialization of our food industry.
My own lengthy healing journey involved food reactions to nearly everything I ate, including gluten. Reintroducing traditional sourdough, made with care and the right ingredients, has been deeply healing for both my body and my mind. It’s become a staple in my kitchen after years of being afraid to eat bread and I’m thrilled to be able to share all that I’ve learned so you can bring this ritual home with you. More about me.
What People Are Saying:

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join if I’m gluten-sensitive or have gut issues?
Yes, this class is designed with you in mind, aiming to support digestion and reduce gluten reactivity. However, this is not a fit for those with Celiac disease, as sourdough still contains gluten.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and a positive attitude! All ingredients, tools, and materials are provided.
Where will we be gathering?
This is a cozy in-home event. There will be cats and a calm dog, so we hope you're comfortable with that!
Will I take home my own loaf?
You won’t be taking home a whole loaf, but you’ll participate in the process and see each step. The journey to a gut-friendly loaf of sourdough takes more than just a couple hours, so we’ll be touching on different parts of the process in order to let you see and understand what it will look like at each stage. You’ll be sent off with everything you need, including flour, a starter, and a banneton, so you’re ready to bake when you get home!
